Terms

Last changed 26 October 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and 9M Västerås AB ("we") for using ccbin.dev. Using the site, or signing in, means you accept them. The privacy policy says how we handle personal data.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to sign in. If you're not yet an adult where you live, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms for you.
  • One account per person. Keep your sign-in and any API tokens to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with them.
  • You can delete your account at any time on the settings page.

Your programs, and the licence you give

What you post stays yours. To run the site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, show, run, and pass on your programs, files, recordings and comments, in the ways ccbin.dev works: showing them on their pages, running them in the emulator (here and in embeds on other sites), serving them to the in-game installer and the ccbin client, making link previews, and screening them for rule breaks. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies others already made as described below.

For programs that aren't private, you also let everyone use them through ccbin.dev: view and run them, install them on their computers in Minecraft, and fork them, keeping and changing their fork on ccbin.dev. Any further rights, such as using your code elsewhere, come from the licence you choose for the program (for example MIT or GPL). If you choose none, nobody gets more than this paragraph allows.

You confirm you have the right to post what you post and to give these permissions. Don't post someone else's work unless its licence allows it, and keep their copyright notice.

The rules

Programs, files, recordings, profiles, collections and comments must not be:

Spam or advertising
Posts that exist to advertise, mass-posted copies, or links that mislead.
Harmful to players outside the game
Code that tries to harm the player rather than their in-game computer: stealing accounts or tokens, attacking servers or other people's systems, mining cryptocurrency, or hiding what it does. Programs that only affect the computer they run on, such as in-game "viruses" for fun, are allowed; ccbin labels what they can do.
Someone else's work without permission
Code, music or other works you don't have the right to share. Copyright holders can report them, and we remove infringing content.
Personal information about someone
Addresses, phone numbers, real names, passwords, IP addresses or other private details of anyone, without their permission.
Harassment or hate
Attacks on people, threats, or content that demeans people for who they are.
Sexual content or nudity
Many players are young. No sexual content or nudity of any kind, in code, text, images, recordings or audio.
Graphic violence or gore
No realistic depictions of serious injury, gore or cruelty. Blocky in-game combat is fine.
Illegal
Anything else that's against the law in the EU or where you are.
Not about ComputerCraft
ccbin.dev is for ComputerCraft and CC: Tweaked programs. Other code or files, or using it as general file hosting, aren't allowed.
Abuse of the service
Trying to break into ccbin.dev, overload it, get around limits or moderation, or using several accounts to do what one may not.

How moderation works

  • Reports: anyone can report a program or comment with the Report link. If you report illegal content, explain why it's illegal, and give your name and email so we can follow up; we tell signed-in reporters what we decide.
  • Automatic screening: before others can see them, the text of programs and comments, the audio in them, and their preview recordings are checked automatically for rule breaks (private programs never are). Flagged content waits for a moderator; a machine never removes anything on its own. A new account's first public program also waits for a moderator.
  • Reports that hide: when several established accounts report the same thing, it's hidden automatically until a moderator looks at it.
  • Decisions: people make them. Moderators can hold, hide or remove content, and suspend accounts that break the rules repeatedly or seriously; a suspended account can still sign in and read, but not post. Moderators and admins sign in with a second factor.
  • Telling you why: when we restrict something of yours, you get a notification saying what we did, which rule it breaks, how we found it, and whether anything was automatic.
  • If you disagree: ask for a review from that notification, or through the contact form, within six months. A different moderator or an admin reviews it and we tell you the result. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under the EU Digital Services Act, or to the courts.

The emulator

Programs run in your browser, in a sandbox, not on our servers. Without live network, nothing a program does leaves your browser. If you turn live network on, the program can connect to the internet from your browser, and the sites it connects to see your IP address: only do it for programs you trust. ComputerCraft and CC: Tweaked are by their own authors; ccbin.dev is not affiliated with them, Mojang or Microsoft.

Availability and responsibility

ccbin.dev is free and offered as it is. We try to keep it running and your programs safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or that nothing will be lost: keep copies of what matters to you. We can change or end features, and we may end the service with notice. We're not responsible for what other users post or for what programs do when you run them. None of this limits rights you have by law as a consumer, or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow us to limit it.

Changes, and the law that applies

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before the change applies. The law of Sweden applies, without taking away the protection the law where you live gives you as a consumer.

Contact

Questions about these terms: the contact form. It's also our point of contact for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act; we answer in English.
